Lock repair in Geneva: jammed or seized lock
The key needs more and more force, the bolt catches, the deadbolt won't go all the way: a tired lock always ends up jamming, often on a weekend evening. Our locksmiths free and repair it on site, 24/7 — and only replace what can no longer be saved.
Diagnosis on site, price confirmed before we touch anything. A repairable lock is never billed as a new one.
What we put back in working order
Seized lock. The key turns badly or in jerks: we strip, clean the mechanism, and apply the right lubricant. Never a universal spray that gums everything up within three weeks.
Bolt that rubs or a door that closes badly. The wood has moved, the strike plate has shifted: we realign it and the door closes without forcing.
Multipoint lock out of adjustment. The top and bottom points no longer engage: we re-tension and fully adjust the rod mechanism.
Broken handle, stuck key, lock roughed up in an attempted break-in. We repair when the structure is sound; otherwise, it's time for securing your entry points.
Repair first, replace only if needed
The locksmith opens up and inspects the mechanism, the strike plate and the cylinder. They show you what they find: you see the fault, not just the invoice.
If a repair guarantees reliable locking, we repair — it's cheaper and just as safe. The price is agreed with you before we start.
If the mechanism is too worn, we explain why and suggest a cylinder replacement or a lock replacement, at the rates in our public price list.
